Your First Visit to Our Birmingham Practice
Your chiropractor will start with a discussion about you, your health and your reasons for asking for chiropractic care. The consultation will take about 30 mins. You will have a thorough case history taken which will not just be about your presenting complaint but also about your past health history. You will then be asked to undress to your underwear and gowned for an appropriate examination of the neuromusculoskeletal system (nerves, muscles and joints). Sometimes it may also be necessary to examine other areas, such as lungs, heart and abdomen. Based on the findings the chiropractor will decide whether any additional investigations are necessary before treatment can begin. These may include X-rays, MRI and CT scans and urine or blood tests. At the end of your examination the Reception team will arrange a convenient time for you to return to the clinic for your Report Of Findings. They will also if necessary make any arrangements for further tests such as X-Ray or MRI scans.
